Casey Lund
Anchor, reporter & marketing professional
I’m a broadcast journalist and storyteller based in Honolulu, currently serving as a weekend anchor and morning reporter for Hawaii News Now. I started at HNN in 2018 as the station’s first MMJ, and over the years I’ve grown into someone the newsroom trusts for complex stories, off-island assignments, and live reporting that connects with our community. What I love most about my work is helping people understand the issues that shape their lives and giving a platform to those who might not otherwise be heard.
Since 2019, I’ve also worked as the Provider Relations Coordinator for Oral Surgery Hawaii. It’s a role where my communication skills really matter — strengthening referral relationships, planning events, and helping guide the practice through major transitions. It’s taught me a lot about teamwork, organization, and representing a brand in the community.
Before moving to Hawaiʻi, I anchored and reported for 4 News Now in Spokane. During my time there, I helped grow our weekend viewership, introduced new approaches to live coverage, and led major projects like the Children’s Miracle Network Mediathon, which raised $200,000 for Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital. I also spent a lot of time mentoring new reporters and finding creative ways to build our digital audience.
I graduated from the University of Idaho with a B.A. in Radio/TV/Digital Media Productions and was honored with the Michael Kirk Award for Outstanding Senior in Broadcasting. Some of the recognitions I’m most proud of include the Salvation Army’s Making Spokane Better Award and being named Big Brother of the Year by Big Brothers Big Sisters Inland Northwest.
At the heart of everything I do — whether it’s news, community work, or my role with OSH — is a commitment to connection, service, and storytelling that makes a difference.
